Clinical Liaison - Floater (Hybrid)
Job Title: Clinical Liaison - Floater (Hybrid)
Location: New Orleans, LA (On-site/Remote Hybrid)
Pay: $50 per hour
Schedule: Minimum of 20 hours per week. Hours may increase beyond the minimum based on the needs of the business (e.g., increased census, multiple staff absences, or new facility launches).
Duration: 6-month contract (1099)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly adaptable Clinical Liaison - Floater to serve as the critical "connective tissue" for our hospital operations. In this role, you aren't tied to a single department; instead, you are our elite flexible resource, ensuring program continuity across the region.
You will act as the primary coverage for full-time Clinical Liaisons during PTO, call-outs, and unexpected absences. Additionally, you will be the "boots on the ground" to launch and manage program presence at hospital facilities that do not currently have a dedicated full-time Liaison.
The Floater & Hybrid Model
- Variable On-site Presence: You will move between various partner hospitals in the Louisiana territory based on staffing needs.
- Gap Coverage: You will proactively step into facilities without a permanent Liaison to identify patients and maintain referral pipelines.
- Remote Flexibility: When not required on-site for coverage, administrative and strategic work can be performed remotely.
- Regional Travel: Frequent travel within New Orleans (NOLA) is a core part of this role.
- Occasional National Travel: Rare travel to other key territories (Houston, Philadelphia, or NYC) for training or cross-market support.
What You’ll Do
- Seamless Transition: Quickly integrate into different hospital cultures and EMR systems to provide seamless coverage for absent team members.
- Expansion Support: Pilot our services at new or unstaffed facilities, establishing initial relationships with hospital leadership and medical staff.
- High-Acuity Chart Reviews: Perform census and chart reviews to identify patients qualifying for our "Hospital-at-Home" model.
- Provider Education: Maintain a high level of program knowledge to educate hospital staff on short notice, ensuring referral volume remains steady regardless of staffing changes.
Requirements
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN), Social Worker (LSW/LCSW), or Paramedic.
- Clinical Experience: * Minimum: 2 years in an inpatient, ICU, or Emergency Department setting.
- Preferred: 4+ years of high-acuity experience.
- Attributes: Extremely adaptable, tech-savvy, and a fast learner. This role is for a "super-connector" who thrives in changing environments and can build rapport quickly.
- Mobility: Must have reliable transportation for frequent travel across the NOLA metro area.
